McLean, Jackie: Destination... Out! (Vinyl LP) [ vinyl ]

"Down At Dawn present a reissue of Jackie McLean's Destination... Out!, originally released in 1964. One of the greatest early '60s Blue Note albums. Deep, soulful, and adventurous music performed by the Jackie McLean's quintet featuring Grachan Moncur (trombone), Bobby Hutcherson (vibes), Larry Ridley (bass), and Roy Haynes (drums). A stellar line-up for a definitive modern jazz statement. Destination... Out! Stands as the perfect mixture between blues idioms and advanced post-bop conceptions, including a true masterpiece such as ""Love And Hate"", the marvelous opening track composed by the great Grachan Moncur. Edition of 300."
